A great ways to make money is by passing on your skills or knowledge to others. You can sell your knowledge in a variety of ways, teaching people directly or creating materials for them to learn from. If you want to start making money from your expertise, you can create a great side gig online or by offering education and instruction in person.

Coach or Tutor Others

One option for imparting your knowledge on others is to offer coaching, tutoring, or teaching. For some skills, the best way to do this could be hands-on or face-to-face instruction. There are other skills that you might teach through video conferencing or perhaps by recording video tutorials. You could charge for access, or make money from sponsorships and advertising.

Create an Ebook

Not all skills require spoken instruction. A book can often be a great way of teaching something, and you can include resources such as images, graphs, or worksheets. An ebook is inexpensive to create and can be downloaded by anyone who wants to buy it, making it easier to produce than a physical book. For my ebooks, I upload to Amazon Publishing.

Offer Online Courses

Courses are another product or service you can offer online. You can deliver them in a variety of ways, from a series of videos to interactive learning software. Using a learning management system is one way to deliver online courses. I like the Skillshare platform for teaching video tutorials. It’s easy and you make pretty good money.
