Last month I made a post about doing a National Novel Writing Month in July. I thought I'd post about how last month went for me. I ended up writing a little over 36,000 words. This is in addition to my normal non-fiction writing I do as a freelancer. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.
What's really great is that I know where I'm going with the novel, so I am going to keep writing until it's done.
Today I bought a bunch of line and unlined index cards. I'm going to put a scene from the novel on each of the cards and pin them up on a board so I can keep track of everything. It's like a re-workable outline since I usually need to rearrange my outlines many, many times.
How do you organize your novels?
